We are Christ the King Parish, a richly diverse Christian Community in Northwest Detroit. We are on a journey of Discipleship with Jesus, seeking conversion, reconciliation and renewal. We reach out in welcome to all the people within our neighborhood, proclaiming the Good News of Christ the King, building community, celebrating together, serving one another's needs and the needs of all our neighbors.
The Mind of Christ
Have the same mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, who though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to grasp. He emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave, becoming like us and sharing in human nature. He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name! So now at the name of Jesus every knee will bow - in heaven and on earth and under the earth - and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
